Innsmouth! ( Smash Up Adaptation )

This is an archetype I thought of based around adapting the Innsmouth Faction from Smash Up into Yugioh. The faction was based around summoning minions with the same name, and gaining advantage through their only minion, the Locals. This archetype is based around being able to repeatidly summon The Locals and gain advantage while performing several link summons. 

 

This archetype attempts to use a somewhat new mechanic: The ability to play more than 3 copies of a single card in your deck! The Locals takes advantage of this idea by being able to randomly add copies of itself from the top of your deck. ( The more copies you have, the more likely it is to be successful! )

 The Innsmouth Locals 

Level 4 / Water / Aqua / Effect 

1500 attack / 1500 defense 


 (You can include up to 20 copies of this card in your Deck instead of 3 ) 

If this card is Summoned: You can reveal the top 3 cards of your Deck. Add any revealed “The Innsmouth Locals” to your hand and place the remaining cards on the bottom of your Deck in any order.

You can only Special Summon “H.P. Love, the Innsmouth Crafter(s)” once per turn. If this face-up card would leave the field, banish it instead. During your Main Phase: You can place 1 card from your hand on the bottom of your Deck, then Special Summon 1 “The Innsmouth Locals” from your hand to your Main Monster Zone this card points to. You can only use this effect of “H.P. Love, the Innsmouth Crafter” once per turn. 


Hydra, Mother of the Innsmouth 

Link 2 / Water / Aqua / Effect 

Link Materials: 2 Effect monsters, including “The Innsmouth Locals” 

Link Markers: Left, Bottom Left 

2000 attack 


You can only control 1 “Hydra, Mother of the Innsmouth”. You can only use each of the following effects of “Hydra, Mother of the Innsmouth” once per turn. During your Main Phase: You can target 1 monster in your GY; Place it on the top of your Deck, then you can Special Summon 1 monster from your hand with the same original name as that targeted monster. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your GY; Special Summon 1 “The Innsmouth Locals” from your hand, then if you control 3 or more monsters with the same original name, you can draw 1 card. 


Dagon, Titan of the Innsmouth 

Link 3 / Water / Aqua / Effect 

Link Materials: 2+ Effect monsters, including “The Innsmouth Locals” 

Link Markers: Left, Bottom Left, Right Right 

3000 attack 


You can only control 1 “Dagon, Titan of the Innsmouth”. While you control 2 or more monsters with the same original name, their ATK is doubled during the Battle Phase only. You can only use each of the following effects of “Dagon, Titan of the Innsmouth” once per turn. During your Main Phase, if you control 2 or more “The Innsmouth Locals” while this card is in your GY: You can Special Summon this card from your GY, but banish it when it leaves the field. During your Main Phase: You can activate this effect; immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 monster from your hand.

Sacred Circle of the Innsmouth 

Field Spell 


While you control 2 or more monsters with the same original name, they are unaffected by your opponent’s Spell/Trap cards and effects. During your Main Phase: You can target 1 monster you control; immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 monster from your hand with the same original name as that targeted monster. You can only use this effect of “Sacred Circle of the Innsmouth” once per turn. 


Spreading the Innsmouth Word 

Spell - Normal 


Target 1 monster you control; Special Summon any number of monsters from your hand with the same original name as that targeted monster. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 “The Innsmouth Locals” in your GY; add that target to your hand. You can only use each effect of “Spreading the Innsmouth Word” once per turn. 


Innsmouth Recruitment 

Spell - Normal 


Target 1 monster you control; Special Summon up to 2 monsters from your GY with the same original name as that targeted monster in Defense Position. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: You can banish this card from your GY; look at the top 3 cards of your Deck, then place those cards on the top and/or bottom of your Deck in any order. You can only use each effect of “Innsmouth Recruitment” once per turn. 


New Innsmouth Acolytes 

Spell - Quickplay 


Place any number of “The Innsmouth Locals” from your GY on top of your Deck, then you can return cards from your opponent’s GY to their Deck, up to the number of cards placed on the top of your Deck by this effect. If a card(s) you control would be destroyed (by battle or card effect) including a “The Innsmouth Locals” you control, you can banish this card from your GY instead. You can only use each effect of “New Innsmouth Acolytes” once per turn. 


Innsmouth in Plain Sight 

Spell - Normal 


Add 1 “Innsmouth” card from your Deck to your hand, except “Innsmouth in Plain Sight”. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: You can banish this card from your GY; Take 1 card from your Deck and place it on top of your Deck. If you do not control 2 or more “The Innsmouth Locals”, the card you place must be “The Innsmouth Locals”. You can only use each effect of “Innsmouth in Plain Sight” once per turn. 


Mysteries of the Innsmouth 

Spell - Quickplay 


If you control 2 or more monsters with the same original name, either draw cards equal to the total amount of those monsters -1 OR add cards from the bottom of your Deck to your hand equal to the total amount of those monsters -1. During your Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY, if you control 2 or more monsters with the same original name: You can banish this card from your GY; draw 1 card. You can only use each effect of “Mysteries of the Innsmouth” once per turn.

Innsmouth Return to the Sea 

Trap - Continuous 


If you control 2 or more monsters with the same original name, you can activate this card from your hand. While you control this card, if a “The Innsmouth Locals” you control would be sent to the GY, you can shuffle it into your Deck instead. During your Main Phase: You can target 1 monster you control; immediately after this effect resolves, Normal Summon 1 monster from your hand with the same original name as that targeted monster. You can only use this effect of “Innsmouth Return to the Sea” once per turn. 


The Deep Power of the Innsmouth 

Trap - Counter 


When your opponent activates a monster effect, or if your opponent would Summon exactly 1 monster while you control 2 or more monsters with the same original name: Negate the activation or Summon, then destroy that monster. During the Main Phase, except the turn this card was sent to the GY: You can banish this card from your GY; look at the top 6 cards of your Deck, then place them on the top or bottom of your Deck in any order. You can only use each effect of “The Deep Power of the Innsmouth” once per turn.
