Editing Comic Strips

Recommended Posts

This tutorial will show you how to edit a comic strip and put your own words into it (requires photoshop):

1. First find the strip you want to edit, then save it to your computer. I will use a Cyanide & Happiness comic as an example:

2. Open photoshop and open the picture (ctrl + O).

3. Select the words using the retangular marquee tool, highlight the words, and press delete. You picture should look like this:

4. Use the text tool to write your words. For this strip, the faunt is ITC Franklin Gothic:

You can also use photoshop to change clothing colors, add hair, and add items. If the strip doesn't have the artist's name, be sure to give them credit.
