Yeah I'm gonna give this one a hard disagree. You can't dickride the constitution on everything else and then go and ignore part of it because of immigrant hysteria.

“I really believe that if Jesus was physically on the Earth today, he wouldn’t be riding a donkey,” he says in the video “He’d be in an airplane preaching the gospel flying all over the world.”
Are you fucking kidding me right now?
Jesus would obviously drive a Honda. The Bible says the disciples were all of one accord.
23 And Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how difficult it is[a] to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” 26 And they were exceedingly astonished, and said to him,[b] “Then who can be saved?” 27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” 28 Peter began to say to him, “See, we have left everything and followed you.” 29 Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, 30 who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

But yeah I wish I could just make music for a living but I'm such a lazy fuck I haven't been able to even write any songs. Combine that with a terrible inability to save money and even being 24 making a livable salary, I still live at home.
But something that I'm learning right now that I think will help, is to not think about the big picture too much. I mean, obviously, have a plan, but don't only stress out about the end goal. All you have right now is the remaining hours in the day. How can you use those hours to better yourself? How can you use those hours to make a tiny step toward your goals? Do that. Stop procrastinating, and make a tiny step, today. Don't focus on how small of a step it is or how many more steps you'll need to take. Just walk.
As for creative writing, I HATE to tell you this, but DO NOT rely on making a living doing that. Get a job and write stuff on the side. If anything you write takes off, great! If not, you still have a job.
Best of luck mate, I'm right there with you.

I would like to see law enforcement test this, and actually gather some statistics on where firearms used in crimes come from. I could be wrong, but they should be able to run a check on the serial numbers of guns they confiscate from crimes, and see how many were originally bought out of state.

You're missing the PT, a certain side has made the term highly nebulous so it works like a catch all
Well to some extent you're right, the burden to define assault weapon falls squarely on those in favor of a ban, and (I know I'm painting in broad strokes here but bare with me) people in favor of weapons bans tend to not know quite as much about the firearms they're trying to ban as people who are against bans.
But you're right in that assault weapon, as a term is incredibly nebulous and as it stands basically useless for purpose of legislation.

The assault weapon thing is important if we're actually talking about banning "assault" weapons. What is in assault weapon?
Fully automatic weapons have been illegal in the US for a long time, and I would agree with that ruling.
Semi-automatic? You just banned all handguns. A lot of the rhetoric around assault weapons is based on weapons that are black and scary rather than actual function of a gun. Do you know what an AR-15 is, and can you describe why it's dangerous? Explain it.
This is goes for both sides. You should be able to back up your case.

It sucks because it should totally be possible to write some solid stories with a diverse range of characters.
The reason a lot of these comics aren't good is the same reason Christian Films suck. I know weird comparison, stay with me.
I don't know if anyone is familiar with the God's Not Dead franchise, but it's a perfect example. They're not even made to be good films. They're just fanservicey propaganda pieces, which the creators (and in this case audiences) arrogantly assume are automatically good and above criticism because they reinforce those ideals and worldviews.
With a lot of these comics, people are writing them just to push an agenda, and then back filling the actual content with whatever supports that, instead of just writing a damn good story and letting your beliefs and ideals bleed into it.
It's okay to have these values be present in stories, hell, even be the focus, but don't let the opinion be the story.
edit: i know i'm late but no lock pls

You've never been to socal with any kinda sale if you think this is a white person thing
You're missing a key factor in Nutella. It's a very small portion, and I mean minuscule, of black communities that eat Nutella. Hence why it's considered, socially, to be a white thing. This can be applied, for Nutella, to basically all non-white communities if your social bubble is bigger than a pinhole.
Yeah my comment on ethnicity is about the nutella, not just the rioting for sales. Everyone does that.
But like, there a lot of white people, usually baby boomers or people on 4chan will look at the African American community losing their shit over Jordans or what have you and act like they're above that.
Everyone's got their poison. Ours happens to involve 25% of the world's supply of hazelnuts.

Basically, members who want to work on the project can collab on it. Doesn't have to be actual programming, though it does help to have more people experienced with it on board.
Let me know if y'all need any help. I don't know how much free time I have, but I do web development for a living, so I suppose I'm a professional by definition.

We honestly don't know anything about what might be out there. Coming from a Judeo-Christian background, I'd say nothing, but that's all hearsay.
Everything we try to dream up about what might exist is based on human Earth culture and what we have here. Plus, while this one planet may be habitable in theory, we're talking about one system. There are 300 billion stars in our galaxy and an observable 100 billion galaxies that we know of. That is a fuckton of possible places for sexy blue lesbians to be hiding and most are well out of reach.
I guess I'm a pessimist but that's how I see it.
Speaking as an American (the OG "find more primitive people then kill them all and take their land" nation),
Well technically England and Spain did that first.

Oh boy, I'm kinda sad I missed this topic. I know this is an old thread and it seems it's been discussed already, but I'd like to throw in my two cents as it's still going on and people are still boycotting the NFL.
I broke it down into bullet points. :) Nothing is directed at anyone here, but just at things I've seen in this debate in general.
1) I do agree with the sentiment behind why players are kneeling. (For the most part, Kaepernick has said some dumb shit, like defending Castro)
2) I do think the form of protest is at least somewhat disrespectful to what many people, myself included, feel the flag represents. The flag, from my perspective, is not representative of all aspects of America 100% of the time, our country will never be perfect. The flag is not a symbol of the alt-right, neo nazi element in America.
3) That being said, I can understand. Non-participation is a non-violent form of protest. People have said that they're okay with protest as long as it's non violent, well here it is.
4) A lot of people are gonna throw tantrums no matter how you protest this because they have a problem with racial aspect, and are full of shit when they say they're only mad about the anthem.
5) It is their right to protest in such a manner, but likewise it is the NFL's right to take or not take disciplinary action against them and it is viewers right to boycott depending on that decision.
6) I do not agree at all with the idea that football players are entertainers and they need to shut up and entertain. You didn't fucking say that when Tim Tebow was Tebow'ing. (whom I do support, as an aside). Also, the players aren't protesting because they personally feel oppressed, but are using their visibility and platform to protest on behalf of those who are, so the entitlement argument isn't valid from my perspective.
7) As much as I support the players right to protest, is anyone actually talking about racism because of this? From what I've seen it's mostly been people debating on whether it's okay to sit down during the national anthem at a football game or not.
8) I understand why people are offended but I do wish people wouldn't get so defensive and aggressive about it, and at least listen to the concerns being brought forward through this protest.
