[Shadowverse] Maid Leader

17 March 2017 - 09:16 AM

Fanfare: Put a random Commander that costs 4 or less play points from your deck into your hand.

Bold is just a potential nerf I could see happening to this card.

Because we all know how horrible this card actually is. If you're just searching out Albert, this card can just tutor Albert and it becomes basically an instant win. With the rise of Sword generally becoming cancerous, this card realllllyyyyy needs a nerf. Being able to grab 10 damage from your Deck is ridiculous.

And there are plenty of good Commanders Maid Leader can still grab with this nerf. Not just Albert.

During the opponent's turn, subtract 1 from any damage dealt to this follower.

With the rampant and quite possibly stagnant Aggro meta going around, I feel like this is becoming more and more of a necessity in Haven Decks. That, and, I just love being a nuisance.

[Shadowverse] Goblinmount Demon

Fanfare: Deal 3 damage to all other allied followers.

I really underestimated this card's power.

In Shadowcraft, this can be amazing as removal for your own Lurching Corpse/Attendant of Nights/Skullcradles (if you do 2378, like I do), and even just 5/9 by itself on T5 is already good. In Swordcraft, it can be a budget Aurelia because who the heck is gonna get through 9 Defense without DoD'ing (which is one less going to other crux cards) or committing a full board to wiping it out?

I feel like this card, with the introduction of all the new control cards in Shadowcraft, is actually incredibly good if you can't spare the time/money/vials for Nephthys, and this is a good substitute.

Now THAT is a steak.

[Shadowverse] Midnight Vampire

Fanfare: Give +1/+0 to your Forest Bats.

My question.

This over Goblin Mage?

The Deck can still be consistently fine without Goblin Mage, as long as you get a Vania to compliment her. Usually, your T2 drop anyway is Wolf/Yurius and you'll be dropping Vania T4 to combo with Bloodkin or Night Horde the next turn, provided she lives that long (and if she does, your opponent is stupid).

Midnight also makes Summon Bloodkin be a viable T2 drop going into this instead of exclusively being a combo for Vania. Four damage in a turn can be nasty, especially by T3.
