Roxas, do you know how many votes you need in the house to override a veto?
FYI you need about 40 more republican congressman to do it
Sometimes I'm convinced you just talk out of your ass cuz you think you can get away with it
You need to stop with personal attacks. This "Sometimes I'm convinced you just talk out of your ass cuz you think you can get away with it" isn't needed. Stop.
Also, tone is hard to read in text, but also learn to at least act like you respect the people you interact with. I don't care if you hate Roxas to the core of your being. I don't care if you think he is an idiot. If you're going to interact with him, don't be an asshole about it.

Calling it mindless seems a bit harsh, these are guys like ZeRo and Nairo we're talking about here. But like I said, they are just early impressions.
Fair. They've likely been playing the game a ton so they are basing this off stuff. I don't think its enough to really be able to say what tiers will look like, but they can certainly say "this character feels really good." I just think click bait to the effect of "Yong Link is going to be top tier" is way too much.

So I uh, closed out before seeing the world of light promo, holy shit, I thought plant was the last bit of the direct
Nope. World of Light single handily got me excited for Spirits. At first I was like, "eh, this is fine", to all in. It looks a lot more straight forward than Subspace, but the presentation is super on point.

swordfighters are overcentralizing because they're objectively stronger than brawlers due to their inherent range. It's cool if Marth is top tier cause whatever, it's Marth, I have to deal with it, but there are 15 characters that use some kind of sword or blade, 7 of which are different flavors of Marth.
also what the fuck you guys shovel knight had such a huge kit to make into a character. there was SO much to work with. He had an amiibo and a port and everything. And ashley literally just appeared in a new game, I just....I'm going to have to try REALLY hard to have fun with this game if it turns out being sword meta.
I feel like you are being hyperbolic here. FE has 7 fighters total and Robin is nothing like the other FE character. I also wouldn't call Ike a Marth flavor since he plays totally differently from him. Also, saying the are just objectively strong is just wrong. In Smash 4 only two of the top 11 characters use sword, with 6 of the top 28. Hardly a sword meta. Like, I get being annoyed by sword issuers, but swords are also one of the most popular gaming weapons so it makes sense so many sword wielders are in the game. It makes more sense Imo to be frustrated that almost half of them are from FE and FE has a huge range of weapon types.
Also, if you count Pit, Dark Pit, and Corrin as sword users Shovel Knight is 100% a sword user since it would totally functional like one in Smash.

But Bayo receiving the most votes doesn’t mean she got in due to the poll.
Supposedly, she was already planned pre-poll as a fighter/DLC if time ran short. Being the winner =/= getting in due to the poll.
But, why Bayo? They have tons of options for possible characters, both in and outside of Nintendo. What would have made Bayo be the one they planned on putting in. Also, what would have happened in other characters had done better in the polls? I mean yea, Nintendo could lie, but working from that assumption makes it so you never have any ground to stand on since anyone can lie to us about literally everything. And this also begs the question, why create a poll saying it was for a Smash 4 character when that was never the goal?
Am I the only person who thinks some of the more neglected Nintendo stars should have a Smash Bros fighter? I know that they do this for a lot of things, but some characters, notably Mike Jones from StarTropics, don't even get a trophy, and I wish they would recognize these kinds of forgotten gems.
Thats the thing about forgotten gems, Smash DOES recognize a TON of smaller gems. It sucks when the one that is near and dear to you isn't one of them, but Sakurai loves his off the beaten path characters. Its is like a decent part of why the retro trio is in. All I can really say is that it is very possible for someone like Mike Jones to show up. Though, from the VERY little I just looked up about the franchise, it was designed without plans for it to make it to Japan and that would certainly hurt its chances.

I don't see what Nintendo was trying to accomplish by making final smashes shorter and completely reworking transformation smashes like Fox's and Sonic's. If they are trying to cater to the hyper competitive tournament crowd they are wasting their time IMO since those people always insist that stage hazards and more importantly, all items be off.
One of Mark Rosewater's ideologies for game design is a game should end before the players want them to end. Put another way, it is important to not overstay your welcome. This change is likely coming form that. By removing them it improves the pace of the game and lets people get right back into the action.

Protoman was confirmed to be in Megaman's final smash, along with Bass. He's not happening.
That said... Knuckles the Enchiluperito is an assist trophy now, so Shadow might be playable...?
I mean, another person of Protoman could make it. Though I'd put the odds of that at not even 1%.
Shadow being playable all depends on whether he's still gonna be an Assist Trophy or not tbph.
Though I still think we may still get an Arms rep here if not in the main roster or as DLC, though a part of me will probs be on the fence.
I feel of all my wants, Springman (or any Arms character) is a safe bet.
my dreams of Ray MK being a playable character are crushed every time :(
still hype regardless though.
I'd be super down for Ray to be playable. With the number of mechs showing up in Nintendo games of late Smash needs one.
