[OCG] First Scoop at Curse of the Dark

This time with vague descriptions. We cannot provide effects nor stats because Japan did not provide them.

https://i0.wp.com/yg...bolos.png?ssl=1

Ankoku no Maoh Diablos (Diablos, King of the Abyssal Darkness)

“Diablos has a powerful effect that can Tribute DARK monsters on your field to interfere with your opponent’s hand! Even though it’s a high level monster, it has an effect to Special summon itself easily!”

https://i2.wp.com/yg...ilith.png?ssl=1

Akumajou Lilith (Lilith, the Fiend Lady)

“Lilith has a useful effect that can Tribute DARK monsters on your field to use Normal Trap Cards from your Deck easily!”

https://i1.wp.com/yg...topia.png?ssl=1

Ankoku Sekai – Shadow Dystopia – / Shadow Dystopia

“Shadow Dystopia is a Field Spell with the astonishing effect of allowing you to use your opponent’s monsters!” It also supports the new monsters with activating their effects with an effect it has!”

https://i0.wp.com/yg...Virus.png?ssl=1

Aku no Deck Hakai Virus / “Ghastly Gloating Virus”
Note: This card is literally “Deck Destruction Virus of Evil”

“The Virus Trap Card can destroy the opponent’s hand and Deck by Tributing a DARK monster that fits the requirements. In addition, if you fit a certain criteria, there’s also an additional effect!”

Side Note: Ghastly Gloating Virus is not so much an accurate translation as it is us trying to preserve the alliteration pattern. Expect it to change when the TCG version of the card comes out for whatever name the TCG gives it. Do not get upset if it changes.

[Written] Owen Servern, the Freedommaker | Link Era's anti-solitare plays

14 January 2018 - 08:37 AM

Owen Servern, the Freedommaker
LIGHT / Link / Warrior / Effect
Link Marker [All Direction]

2 or more monster
If your opponent control monsters on both Extra Monster Zone while you control no Link Monster: You can use Link Monster(s) your opponent Control as material to Link Summon this card but you can only use 1 opponent monster from Extra Monster Zones with the lowest Link Rating. This card cannot be used as Tribute or Material for Summon. This card Original ATK is always equal the opponent Monster with the Highest ATK -100. This card gain 200 ATK for each non-Link Monster you control that Summoned from your Extra Deck. This card Effects cannot be Negated.

ATK ? / LINK 8

Ah my first Link 8...with quasi-kaiju effect nonetheless muahahahaha~

E-hem of course there a good intention for this. We all agree while Links complicate our plays, but for it being slowing down if not lessen our recent board-spam plays is definetly NOT part of the intention. And with that along the advent of legit Extra Linker Deck i start to doubt that our removal method nor our beloved opponent tributer like Kaijus can generate countervalue for such play. Of course this doesn't dismiss the importance of Link monster by being link monster itself unlike the above tributer.

[Written] Phinx | yes its a Sphinx Archetype (6/?)

09 January 2018 - 11:39 PM

Woah havent post an archetype in a long time...so lets shake up these rusty thinking sprokets with one of my favorite series the Sphinxes! not only that, we gonna make it work with both Beast-type Pyramid of Light Sphinxes and the Flip-Flop Rock Sphinx for maximum madness! Just the way i like it~

For you who wondering: why "phinx" wording? Just like Qli for Qliphort, is to tied different Sphinx we have since its so happen to have undercase "s" for rock sphinx and capital "S" for Beast Sphinx

Frontline of Sacred Temples
Field Spell

Based on the total combine number of your face-down cards you control and Banished you can apply 1 or more of the following effect. You can only use the effect of "Frontline of Sacred Temples" once per turn.
@ 1 or more: "Exxod, Master of the Guard", "phinx" Monster(s), and face-down monster(s) you control cannot be targeted and/or be destroyed by opponent card effect.
@ 3 or more: you can Banish 1 card you control or in your hand face-down: add 1 "Exxod, Master of the Guard", "Pyramid of Light", or "phinx" card from your Deck to your hand.
@ 5 or more: if you control no face-up monster you can Normal Summon 1 Level 5 or Higher "phinx" Monster without Tribute(s) in face-up Attack position.

The one that start it all. It protects, search, and giving you Sphinxes for free. All for just commiting to your face-down cards! You can even make it live with Pot of Desire like nobody business

Manusiha the Caretaker Sphinx
EARTH / Level 2 / Beast / Flip/ Effect

FLIP: Draw 1 card. If you control "Pyramid of Light", Draw 2 cards instead
(Quick Effect) You can change this face-down card on your Main Monster Zone to face-up defense position: target 1 face-up monster on the field; Change that target to face-down Defense position. You can only used each effect of "Manusiha the Caretaker Sphinx" once per turn.

ATK 900 / DEF 1900

A neat draw power. That can be self triggered along with buffed up BoM effect that can inflict damage to opponent if that target simply wont bow down (well Link monster also) you can also use it to set your own monster if you need to

Naravirala, the Redeemer Sphinx
EARTH / Level 2 / Beast / Flip / Effect

FLIP: Return 1 monster or Pendulum card on Pendulum Zone on your opponent field or in his/her GY to its owner hand.

During your Main Phase: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. You can only used each effect of "Naravirala the Redeemer Sphinx" once per turn.

ATK 900 / DEF 1900

Technically a Honest or Juragedo for the archetype. Saving your skin and a monster you wanna keep with 1000 boost with a bonus of bouncing problematic monster back

Nicolonia, the Judgement Sphinx
EARTH / Level 2 / Beast / Flip / Effect

[Writen] Random Extras for Links

25 December 2017 - 07:56 AM

Shifted, Unshifted: a new keyword revolving around an event when a Link monster control is given to other player that will determinate its Arrow position. Usually if a control of Link monster is switched to other player the card face will turned to facing the new controled align with normal vision (readable, normally position names on the top to its Stat, serial number, and trademark on the bottom) which, as normal; will retain the Arrow position (bottom is bottom towards the controler). but in case of Link Monster with "Unshifted" Keyword, while the control is still given the physical position of the card is still the same as if on control of its owner. which within the new controller vision perspective the card is given to him/her upside down

Example: a Link 1 monster with Down Arrow and unshifted effect, placed on the Left-Most MMZ, opponent has Change of Heart and having all MMZ occupied except his/her Left-most

On the resolution of change of heart if that monster doesn't have unshifted effect the card face will be turn turned so the monster will still point down towards its new controller. But with unshifted effect, since the card face isnt turned the down arrow still point to its original controller enabling that zone for ED monster

Binary or Double Arrow: Link Monster with these unique arrow (which i will left to your imagination on the design.) which visually like stylished 2 arrows overlaping, can enable 1 Zone for ED Summon but at range that its twice the normal arrow.

Example:
1) if your Left-Most Link monster has Double Arrow that point to top-right of your opponent since the double range means its point diagonally to opponent Middle MMZ, your oppoent can use that Middle Zone for ED summons
2) if your Left-Most Link monster has Double Arrow that point to right. You can either do the normal ruling which you can Summon 1 ED monster 1 zone next on that monster OR you summon as far as 2 zone from that monster.

But of course Binary/Double Arrow has some balancing rules to be watch out:
- if you summon an ED monster 2 zone away as per Example 2, the inbetween zone is no longer treated as zone the Link monster points to since the Summoned ED is consider to taken the point. This is to prevent to usage of Spams or shortcutting Co-links
