You guys ever wonder how Majeshitters dont have any effects for their Pendulum, what if its vice versa. Its an effect monster but it has no effect, thus its a vanilla, but at the same time the benefit of it being an effect monster means you can jump into DECODE.

Magical Burst

You can only use this card’s name (2) effect once per turn.
(1) Each time an opponent’s monster effect is activated, place 1 Spell Counter on this card when that effect resolves.
(2) You can send this card with 6 or more Spell Counters to the Graveyard; add 1 Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.

THIS is what Spell counters needed, gathering counters from the activation of Monster effects, not just spells. Previously in the earlier days it would be fine, but considering how monster effects have taken precedent in the game, it is necessary that the spell counters be gained not just through the activation of spells but also monster effects. The 2nd effect would be used to search a spell card from the deck, and allows you to open up some combos. There's also endymion which is pretty cool, but you'd be adding a spell from the grave instead while keeping this card up

Magical Boost

You can only activate 1 of this card’s name per turn.
(1) Send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard, then target 1 face-up card on the field that you can place a Spell Counter on; place 2 Spell Counters on that card.
(2) If this card in its owner’s possession is destroyed by an opponent’s card effect: You can Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck that you can place a Spell Counter on, and if you do, place 2 Spell Counters on it.

The best revival support of Spell Counters so far. The moment you activate this, you net 3 counters instantly for Royal Magical Library OR Abducator. There's also other shenanigans like placing 3 counters on Tower of Babel on the getgo, and Extra Buck, but Magical Library is where this gets crazy, and the milling 2 will net you more cards for magical explosion and such. The summoning effect from deck is even better,

Mythical Beast Jackal / Mythical Beast Master Cerberus

Pendulum Effect: You can only use this card’s name Pendulum Effect once per turn.
(1) If you do not control another card in your Pendulum Zone: You can target 1 face-up card you control that you can place a Spell Counter on; destroy this card, and if you do, place 1 Spell Counter on that card.
Monster Effect:
(1) Each time a Spell Card is activated, place 1 Spell Counter on this card when it resolves.
(2) You can remove 3 Spell Counters from your field, then Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 “Mythical Beast” Effect Monster from your Deck, except “Mythical Beast Jackal”.

Pendulum Effect: You can only use this card’s name Pendulum Effect once per turn.
(1) If you do not control a card in your other Pendulum Zone: You can destroy this card, and if you do, add 1 “Mythical Beast” Effect Monster from your Deck to your hand.
Monster Effect:
(1) Each time a Spell Card is activated, place 2 Spell Counters on this card when that Spell Card resolves.
(2) If there are 4 or more Spell Counters on your field, this card cannot destroyed by card effects.
(3) Once per turn: You can remove 4 Spell Counters from your field, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it, and if you do, this card gains ATK equal to the original ATK of the banished monster until the end of this turn.

Yeah there's no way konami is gonna release good pendulums now that they have to advertise Links. Second they'd have you to have no other cards in your Pendulum Zone because the best cards with the Spell Counter usage in the game right now is Magical Abducator. No one is playing Breaker or that spellbook star card. Jackal is the SKilled dark Magician and lets you jump into its boss monster, the mythical beast pendulum, or you can go into the regular level 4. This card is not that good and is pretty ok overall. It has a spell speed 1 effect that targets, which may be an issue but it gains the ATK of the monster afterwards.

These are such dissapointments, but its understandable because they gotta advertise

Fire Prison

All Dragon monsters on the field gain 300 DEF. Neither player can Link Summon a monster with less Link Arrows than a Link Monster on the field. Monsters cannot attack, except Link Monsters. While 2 or more Cyberse Link Monsters are on the field, negate the activated effects of Cyberse monsters, Cyberse monsters on the field cannot attack, monsters cannot target them for attacks, also neither player can target them with card effects.

This card is a floodgate but NOT REALLY.

First effect is the Statboost, its a shitty mountain.

Second effect employs the survival of the strongest idea. You can open with Firewall, thus the opponent cannot Link Summon any monster but a Link 4, pretty good effect and works both ways.

Third effect stops attack, its like Belthink dragon, pretty good and work both ways too

Fourth effect makes it so that if there is 2 Cyberse Link monsters, it negates all the Cyberse monsters, but then cant you just go to a Link 4 then?

Fifth effect protects Cyberse from attacks or effects, but prevents them from attacking too

This card last effect makes it somewhat useful, but not being able to attack makes it somewhat less useful. Of course you can go into non-cyberse link monsters and the other to wall it out, but again, this goes BOTH sides.
