I posted a little too much about essjaydoubleyous and people/groups I dislike (PETA, Undertale fandom, etc.) especially in Debates(the threads were still on the front page last I checked), where I was banned for a while. That and at times, I’m... less than socially adept. I’m generally bad at communicating, and there was that misunderstanding last year.... Then I engaged in self-deprecation, and... it backfired.
Anyway, I’ve improved since then, I’ve learned a bit, but certain people around here mock me about who I was back then on ALL MY THREADS. They’re free to poke a bit of fun at me, but derailing all of my threads is just mean spirited.
The wording is a bit too... imprecise for Yu-Gi-Oh. "Play the card as if it was in your hand?" I know the book says that the cards override the rules, but I don't think you can use that.
Maybe instead of the current effect, you can use:
When this card is Summoned: Banish the top card of your Deck, face-up; Add it to your hand, but if it is in your hand during the End Phase, banish it.
The effect still works the same, but different enough to be used in a Duel. Even with this, I suggest just making it a free +1 that adds the top card of deck to hand (or just draws) without overcomplicated banishenanigans. We could need something like that. Although you might have to put a HOPT and other drawbacks/limitations/conditions on its effect to prevent abuse by Special Summon Spammers.
It goes by many names. Determination. Resolve. Willpower. Refusing to give in despite the temptation. Refusal to give up despite the odds.
Determination show up everywhere in fiction. The hero refuses to give up or give in during his darkest hour, and that keeps him going. It's a plot device older than time. It also shows up in real life as well. People who refuse to give up on themselves are often rewarded.
However, determination has a dark side. Determination can carry someone on a lost cause that will lead them down a path of death and destruction. It can also give someone the resolve to do something horrible, like killing someone or getting revenge by any means. Sometimes, you gotta know when to fold'em.
Let's discuss determination.
How can determination help people, both yourself and others? How can it hurt people? What gives you determination in life? What gives your friends determination?
I apologize in advance for any words I say that may be construed as rude.
It's kinda broken.
2400 ATK on a Link-2 that doesn't even need that bad stuff? (DARK is all over the place) EVERYONE will be using this because EVERY Deck can spit it out. They'll get a 2400 ATK beatstick that cannot be targeted (I assume by card effects) and has a 50-50 chance to steal any mon your opponent tries to Special summon to a zone it points to.
The effect is very interesting and unique, though. I suggest nerfing its ATK, removing the "Cannot be targeted" clause, or making the materials more specific (2 DARK Fiend monsters???? maybe not good enough by itself), or any combination thereof. You could even give it a negative effect if the coin flip lands on tails. This card isn't the best, but it's easily savable.
And I understand. I'm not very good at this either and it's been a while for you. Just keep practicing, and you can get better.
I see what your plan is: Get this on your opponent's field in Attack Position and attack it with a 3000+ ATK beatstick for game. I see where you're going, but it's not very useful, frankly, because I'm not going to waste a Ritual Spell and the required ingredients to Summon it, only to have to run it into something else (because it can't be affected i.e. destroyed, by other card effects), taking a massive hit, just to get it to my opponent' side of the field. The chances of your opponent controlling a monster with low enough ATK in attack position are too low in today's meta, and the Summoning requirements are just not worth it. Maybe you could lower its Level to make it easier to Summon (or just not make it a Ritual, or change the Summon con, or anything really) and give it a cool effect that harms your opponent when it is destroyed (you can use "If this card is destroyed, unless it is controlled by its owner:" to dodge the harmful effect yourself).
It's okay, no one is very good at this when they're new. I can tell you that I'm still not good at it. And before you ask, reviewing and spotting flaws in others' work is easier than spotting flaws in your own work. I learned that the hard way.
When this card is activated: Send all cards containing nudity and bedtimes from either player's hands and fields to the GY, and if you do, both players add 1 "Fetish" from their Deck to their hand. Fetish porn is not treated as porn.
