presedentail election for my dnd game (role-play exercise) feel free to vote

08 April 2019 - 06:00 AM

so I have decided to run a presidential election campaign in my campaign because of my players wanting one of the NPC candidates to be president so as a role play exercise if you were an adventurer in my game who would you vote for

captain awesome(human superhero, Superman/Captain America type) the rising star of the justice (promises to bring any form of justice he can to the corrupt and to hold up the little man),

executive leader Jim of blast them corp (corrupt wall street type) who promises tax benefits to mega corporations and will make equipment cheaper for all the guilds and adventures.

senator Nekunri Kegbraid (dwarf who is like the archbishop) who promises to lower the costs of divine services by adopting more worshippers in the Coalition of light

senator of military affairs grog(threatens people in the Senate with chairs and is like a trump in a way) he will increase the war effort against the empire and provide chairs for everyone's convenience

little info about the campaign; there is a war going on against the empire and republic and the party is working for a guild to help with jobs the republic can't help with. if any other questions feel free to ask

don't know how to add a poll so feel free to vote in the comments :)

expand upon the experimental mechanic game (duel weapons)

25 August 2018 - 02:10 PM

so this should be a simple but not restrictive idea. i put an experimental mechanic and people make cards around it. for this game i will be using duel weapons

origional idea is in the link. credit to the creator

http://ycm.wikia.com/wiki/Duel_Weapon

wont use everything in the link tho just to simplify it just a bit

how the mechanic works;

1) duel weapons go in the extra deck

2) players activate the duel weapon by using their normal summon and it is placed face up on the extra deck.

3) duel weapons are their own type of card

removed stuff is the ADP points and the limit of one duel weapon per extra deck

rules of the game;

1) create a card using the prompts that the last person left (eg. person said the duel weapon must effect toons. so you create one that effects toons)

2)  you must leave a prompts for the next person so they can make the next card. this may include that the duel weapon has to effect an archetype, monsters type, sub type, level/rank, attribute or card type(eg. ritual, normal, and so on).

3) you do not have to have the next person make a duel weapon if you want but if they are to make a card that card must effect the duel weapon mechanic; this may be support, negation and so on, leave the type of card and type of effect for the next person to make if doing so (note you don't have to list the type of effect but at least list the type of card.

4) a person may leave a card name in the prompts for the next card if they so choose.

so to start things off;

''a duel weapon that effects toons''

complete this archetype game

23 August 2018 - 10:11 PM

so the rules are simple. i will start with a central monster(s) and then post a name. Then the next person creates a card with that name revolving around the archetype and then lists another name and rinse and repeat. people may put particular details next to the name given for the next person as well (eg. person must make the next card a XYZ monster). Cards must be part of the archetype or support for it

the archetype will be ''platinum dragons'' and the starting cards will be

platinum dragon blue

lv: 1 attribute: light

type: dragon

ATK: 500 DEF:500

effect: when this monster is normal summon all players discard a card, then you may search your deck for a monster with a level equal to or less then the combined levels of any monsters discarded among those cards and add that monster to your hand.

platinum dragon red

lv: 1 attribute: light

type: dragon

ATK: 500 DEF:500

effect: when this monster is normal summon all players discard a card, then you may destroy target face up monster with a level equal to or less then the combined levels of any monsters discarded among those cards.

platinum dragon yellow

lv: 1 attribute: light

type: dragon

ATK: 500 DEF:500

effect: when this monster is normal summon all players discard a card, then you may banish a number of cards on your opponent's field equal to the number of spells and traps that were discarded by this effect

platinum dragon green

lv: 1 attribute: light

type: dragon

ATK: 500 DEF:500

effect: when this monster is normal summon all players discard a card, then you may draw a number of cards equal to the number of spells and traps that were discarded by this effect.

next card:

platinum dragon purple

(must use the same stats as the other dragons and the same starting effect)

good luck have fun :)
